CDs and DVDs are still used by a lost of people, even though they were released a while ago. Besides the large number of benefits offered by optical discs, there are also some downsides. One of them is the poor reliability of optical discs, as they can get scratched easily. To avoid this, users should create disc images and store them on the hard disk, so that in case an important CD or DVD gets scratched or broken, one will be able to easily restore the information from the image file and burn it to a new disc. Windows doesn't includes a tool for creating disc images but, fortunately, there are numerous applications on the market which allow this.

But few of them can match the simplicity and functionality of ISO Recorder, a Windows tool which allows you to create and burn ISO disc images with just a couple of mouse clicks. After installing the application, it will automatically integrate with the Windows operating system and will add a new option to the context menu of any file or folder. By selecting the option, the user will be able to create ISO images from hard disk partitions, program folders and also from CD and DVD physical discs. When creating images, one will just need to enter the name of the ISO file and its location.

After creating the ISO image file, the user will be able to easily burn it to a blank disc, just by double clicking on it. At this point, the user will be able to select the recording speed and also choose a burning device.

Pros

It allows you to create ISO disc images just by double clicking on folders or optical drives. Besides that, ISO images can be easily burned to blank discs.

Cons

It only supports the ISO format. Using ISO Recorder, you will be able to easily create ISO disc images and burn them to any blank disc with just a couple of mouse clicks.
